Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lapel Village Fair has been cancelled for this year.
We are very disappointed in having to make this decision. Due to the fact we are unable to have meetings, it is very hard to get all the pieces together to make this happen. Also, with not knowing if the social distancing will also still be in place, the fair would not be able to happen.
Waiting too close to the July date is not fair to our vendors- some of whom take months to prepare their items and travel arrangements to get to the fair.
We know you are unhappy with this, as are we. We tried to wait as long as we could but due to the timing and the concern for the health and welfare of our community, we deemed it was the best decision we could make at this time.
Please be safe and follow the CDC, Governor, and our county health department guidelines so that we can resume our lives as normal as soon as possible.
Thank you all for being considerate and kind during this time. We are all in this together!
The Lapel Village Fair is held annually in the small but friendly Town of Lapel, Indiana.
It is an event that was started by the Lapel Community Association over 30 years ago and has grown through the years to being a major attraction to both the local area and Madison County.
